About Me
Keith: A Profile of Service and Leadership.
Keith, preferred pronouns he, him, and his, comes from
what was previously known as “South Central” Los
Angeles. After completing high school, he joined the
Marines and served on one combat tour in Iraq. In
2012, he earned a Master’s degree in Public Policy with
a focus on Criminal and Juvenile Justice from American
University. He started his career with the Office of
Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, where he
presently works on juvenile justice research,
evaluations, and other state initatives. Keith is proudly
married to Omar Kamal Hasan-Towery and is the father
of twins, Kemar and Journey. He is a “behind-thescenes” community leader, hiking enthusiast, and a
Mariah Carey enthusiast.
Above all, he is passionate about working with
individuals who are commited to improving their
community
